Announcing... RiffMasters!

I had to edit out and cut parts in between singing there was so much noise, compressor on every vox track and really tweak the EQ. If you heard the raw vox without music you'd get it, lol. I don't like my own voice though. Never did. I usually slather a VERY HEAVY layer of effects over my vox tracks because of it.
I don’t think anyone likes their own recorded voice. It never sounds the same as it does in your head.

Well, when you hear my song you will get what I’m taking about. I am however using the AI to cover my voice. It does little to cover the pitch.

For example. I sing bass. I do a pretty good job. As I’m singing I’m thinking, this really sounds good…. And then if by chance the song was recorded and I hear the play back….. I want to apologize to the listeners.

I miss the old Reel to Reel TASCAM 38. Nothing like the warmth of mag tape recording, and the real time control. I'd always experiment with recording while messing with the turning reel and the magic you could make with the pitch shifting! Any time I couldn't get a higher or lower register, I'd just slow down or speed up the thing. I suppose you can do that with a DAW, but it's just not the same.

Very cool!
Great Motown vibe, and ibmorjamn's dancing green skeletons are perfectly in time, too!
I wanted to put more vox in there, like nah nah nahs and such, but after editing out all the noise and sour notes, there was no more region space left. I'm ALWAYS maxing this thing out and getting the "Region full! To add a new region, delete the existing region." message. The R20 ZOOM has its pros, but it's cons seem to be much heavier. Might be time to get back into DAW.

Pitch shifters and plugins like Melodyne will allow to fix the pitch. I am not very well versed in doing that job. It can sound a bit synthetic if you are not careful. Don’t ask how I know that.

@ku drops his Motown showdown side hustle for the xtra 4 points, plus two for original lyrics and vocalizing.
Definitely has motown vibest all in it, I particularly love the little palm mute arpeggios, and the rhythm stabs
and of course what sounds like handclaps and the tambo in there. Can't forget to mention the arrangement that
keeps us interested, and offers our ears a break, then ramps up even more. And that synth pad work too.
I dunno the voice work sounded fine, maybe not "distinctive" but definitely not out of key or bad, but most of us
here are guitar players, not singers. But Ku proves to us he's more than a guitarman. He's also a pretty decent
video editor suddenly, even if Jen-Jen has applied for a restraining order

So ku can play, he can sing, he can edit, but does he have the MOVES? I wonder...

I would not be surprised if he had that to. Lol
