Announcing... RiffMasters!

You done yer great-great granpappy proud Anyhoo69!
Loved the pace, sort of hopeful but melancholy... Synth strings add a real "epic sweeping thematic" touch. Your work here greatly amplified the adventure, the action and natural scenery.

This is very much along the lines of what I was hoping to see and hear from Wild Wild West submissions, and I hope you enjoyed the process as much as it sounds like you might have.
Long live Deadhand!

The first WWW side Hustle submission and really sets the tone. 4 points for the submission, I think I heard a bell toll for 1, another 4 the edit - six magnificent pts!

Glad you enjoyed it man. I bought a Gretsch guitar a couple years ago because I wanted to dabble in some western music, but it took this challenge to actually write something, so I am feeling very content right now.

Technically the bell was something I added in midi because after a couple hours of searching for a sfx of a church bell in A minor I gave up and just downloaded a plugin to make one myself lol.

I like the way this came out and it makes me excited to continue the saga some day…. After I knock out the ghostbusters theme of course…

Just went through again and note this bears up well to repeat listening. New details emerged. The tremelo, use of harmonics, the guitar tone changes, really beautiful melodies that keep shifting inti new ones. GORGEOUS string parts. Then right after the duel, you kick it in with a new purposeful drive.

THAT'S DOIN' IT FOLKS!!!

Well boys and girls. I’m further along than any other of these challenges I’ve thought I’d do. Since I have zero talent with drums or keys, I have successfully downloaded an appropriate backing track with just drums and keys into Reaper. I’ll add bass and guitar myself and if I figure out a way to do it with what I have on hand…. Vocals. Fun thing is. I think I’ll do okay with guitar. Bass…. Well…. I’ll be teaching myself how to play bass as I work out the part. Yeah me. :run:

I’m pretty sure I will be, at least in part, using the actual drum track from Ghostbusters for my cover.

I did also load into Reaper a second track with rhythm guitar and vocals to help. That track won’t go into the submission…. But it’s gonna help me lay down the bass and my guitar(s). And believe me. I need all the help I can get. This is gonna be a first for me. But I’m already 100% ahead of anything I’ve ever done inside reaper.

ok everyone, here is my submission for the wild wild west. I've had an Old West character in my head for a while now named "DeadHand". When I originally watched the video I envisioned up something light and up beat, galloping through town. But I instead I'm using it as a reason to give my long time character a theme. It's a bit moody, a bit triumphant, it's the introduction to DEADHAND.

YOU ARE THE SH1T!!!
That’s the biggest non-metal Barbarian Bob compliment.

I am so legit mad right now.

That Anyrear guy just posted a BRILLIANT Wild Wild West side hustle movie score and done stole all my "Never Gonna Give You Up" thunder.

You Mister, have made my list.

I now propose a new rule, "There shall be no posting of submissions within 48 hours of any TVvoodoo's musical posts."

I'm sure you all agree.

Sounds very good. It fits the video.

Alright fellas, bulk up your hair, get those acid washeds on, with that neon wife beater under your shiny sport jacket. Maybe add a nice chain, don't wanna look ghetto, dude

Borrowed the bass and drums from a midi file, ported to bass to reasynth, the drums to mightydrums then did a bunch of other stuff, added crashes etc.
My Skull-carved yamastrat with the insane pup config, through my fave guitar model in my RP1000, which is a modified bassman
with a rat and probably too much chorus to be considered tasteful. That's how i roll, in fact, consider yourselves all TVvoodoo rolled!

Don't be concerned if you can't resist that booty shakin' beat, that's by design. Just enjoy and get your dancy-dance on!
And, I only got two more left to go, the easy ones, for this round suckers!
That was good. I like how you arranged the guitar. The build at the end was very nice. Lots of flavors.

I really like that guitar.
I have seen those . Looks expensive.
