Welcome, simoncroft

Cool! Did you do the footage too?
Glad you liked it. I have nothing like the talent or gear needed to shoot anything more than very basic video, so I rely on free stock footage from on-line libraries. Unfortunately, after making 100 videos over a six-month period, I started to find it almost impossible to find suitable new footage. After a break of six months, I'm hoping there will be some new material out there.

Welcome. I love the ES335.

Thank you for the welcome, and for your appreciation of my ES335. In the unlikely event you're anywhere near Worthing in SE England, I'm happy for you to come round to ours and play it yourself. To be really honest, the guitar cost so much money, I was a bit scared of it at first.

Back in about 1983, I briefly owned a 1950s Les Paul that belonged to the guitarist from 10CC. It cost me serious money. but nobody gets too worried about a ding in a Lester. A 'beat-up 335' is on no-one's shopping list.

I play the 335 a lot these days, but I'm still not taking it to any eough bar jams.

I have a friend in Brighton, so you never know if I'll be around. I usually tend to see him when he's on tour, because I don't like to drive in England. The wrong side of the road for my brain is usually not much of an issue until I get to an intersection or roundabout. Then, I get confused.

I got lucky with this ES335.

you did...!

his name is not lawn, but he lives over at Strat-Talk and he's the mostest wonderfulest bestest guitar flipper ever! Don't think he plays, but he can hammer down price points all effing day.

Why his wonderfulness was so over powering that I decided distancing myself was the better part of valor.
We do have an opening here for power flipper extraordinaire. This spot is vacant and we are searching for qualified personnel.

FWIW, once upon a time we had a member/admin here that was our resident flipper. He is/was well loved and always had a new project he was working on. Yard sale finds' were often posted here. Hell I have one of them that we swapped for. You will find that TTR is nothing like any forums you have been part of before.

I can testify to that…

I acquired this T-45 from the aforementioned admin-ferengi-derailing-flipper. It is currently in the bass stand, beside my favorite chair in the house. I do miss his presence here.

Dirty Girl started as a yard sale find in the swamp.

Well, if ya’ll hang out around here for a while, by this time next year you will have MORE gear! :run:
Thank you all for such a warm welcome – not just from folks I know well from Strat-Talk and FaceBook, but also those of you I've only just met. I do have other guitars, but I don't want to outstay my welcome by posting endless shots of fairly ordinary instruments!
First off. Welcome to TTR.

Second off...... We love gear porn here. One can never post too many photos. And when we run out of gear to post photos of.... we recycle same photos into new and different threads.

Speaking of recycling, I need to update the Warmoth family photo as that neck in the front row is now a completed project. Also, the P90s in the second from left, front row guitar came from our ferengi friend.

Just realised what those guitars are sitting on. Are we talking 5.1 home theater? (Or, 'home cinema' as we tend to callt it in Europe.}

It’s a 7.1 system. I finished off the basement in this place after we moved in 2020. Started with bare studs. They are Polk audio speakers in the wall, a Bose center speaker and a JBL subwoofer powered by a Denon AVR. After I built it I was surprised how few films are recorded or mastered in 7.1.
