Changing strings for the next 2 weeks

Remember my thread “how to change strings real quick”?
Well …. It’s payback time.
I’m on day 2 and have done my Dean V and my Jackson King V.
Full disclosure: I never changed the strings on the Jackson since the day I bought it. That’s right. It had factory strings until now. What a difference new strings make.

Tomorrow I will do my BC Rich Trace Warbeast and the day after will be the BC Rich Kerry King Warlock.

At least they are stop tails. Stupid FR bridges are still kinda painful, comparatively.

Yeah. Their stuff is great. A little pricey, but good stuff.
The mat I use is a yoga mat. Much cheaper than the one they sell.
Funny, I didn't shell out for the mat either. F-that ..out of line expensive for what it is. I'm using a substitute small sheet of neoprene. I found that technically I only need the edge of the body protected so it literally means only a few inches of "mat". The whole thing they sell seems extraneous.

I even have the nut file set.
They do make a good product
Me too. The 16 Piece Diamond Coated Nut File Set in the yellow case. I also have the Fret Shield Fretboard Protector Guards for all the different guitars. These make polishing my frets a lot easier and quicker than the one at a time fret guards. They make good products and a must have if you do all your own guitar maintenance.

One more down.
The Kerry King Warlock is done. Although without a floating bridge I don’t know why they call it a Kerry King.
This guitar was actually going to be a refurb and sell. But it came out so good and plays so well. I couldn’t part with it.

I’m on a tear!!
Haven’t played my 61 SG in a long time and it needed strings desperately.
I forgot how much this thing tears it up.
She is my first ever Gibson. They had a sale going on Gibsons and I always wanted an SG. They came out with these 61 reissues and I sprung the $$$ for it. Such a light guitar. I think the strap weighs more lol!

Last one.
I’ll save the other six when I take them out of the closet in 6 months.

The is my Epi 58 Goth Explorer. It’s a @Headache favorite. Found this in a pawn shop. After much haggling with the shop owner. I got it for $250. When he said “hold on let me get the case”, my first thought was “there’s a case?!?!’
Armed with EMGs in stealthy matte black. It’s a killer.
I have been toying with replacing the EMGs with Fishman Fluence pups. But I’m undecided.

And so this concludes my string changing for this part of the year.
This will be revisited again in November when I pull the other half of the herd out for service.

Yours looks so new compared to mine! I've worn the paint off the neck and top horn ha ha.

Absolutely stellar guitars!

Fishmans will sound a lot better than those emgs I would think. But to each his own.
Emgs sound good, but they can be so sterile and harsh sometimes.
My humble 2 cents worth for ya.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Fishman’s
