Headache
Ambassador of all that is Heavy
Rough night for the bands! But hey! That's just rock and roll man... That's just rock and roll.
We got there at 6 for our scheduled sound check.
They weren't ready for us, last band was way behind still doing their sound check... For like half an hour....then. stage went blank! They Killed something. Power wise.
Another half hour they got everything powered back up.
Then the next band sound checked. Now we're an hour behind. Headliners haven't even showed yet. So.... They didn't get to check at all.
We finally get on and check in like 15 minutes. Then our opener girls band gets set up and check. Takes us right to and past the 8:00 start time.
Girls go on around 820 play half hour set.
We jump on stage and half way thru the first song, we lose monitors. Drummer can't hear us, I can only hear the bass cab....
Sound guy running up and down trying to fix it. Super nice guy, but it wasn't running smoothly for sure ha ha.
Our singers first show as a singer, she was so nervous and performed just ok. She got better as we played. I missed a vocal part because I was rocking out at the drum kit ha ha
We played the whole set I could only hear the drums and bassist.
Hard to get squeaks and harmonic feedback when you can't hear yourself ha ha ha.
Got through our set, drug all the equipment back to the studio came back to watch the next band finish up. They were kids and not our kind of music at all.
Then the headliners got up and the first song killed the power again! I went and got food and headed home.
Right now I'm working on trying to convert video (new camera ) into a format I can use with reaper since I also recorded audio with my portable R2D2 unit lol....
It was super fun and the crowd was great! They all said it sounded great FOH so I guess that's what matters most.
I have been working on audio and video for a few hours this morning.... It is weak at best. I might be able to post one song.
I finally took a Les Paul on stage.
