I never really liked Foreigner growing up because , well there were other more interesting bands playing much heavier music.
However lately I have been listening a little more intently.
2 versions of long long way from home.

Lots of tones in a DSL.
I only rolled my 20HR after I got the 4210.
I'd like to try a 40 or 100 with the channel modes.
It looks to me like the transformers are bigger than the ones on the 40CR . They are however Chinese.

I found a video the headfirst guy swapped out to I believe Mercury . I think I ts a JCM 800.

That's the new 2203x 100w single channel JCM800 reissue.
Jason does some cool stuff, but not sure I'd swap out stock trannies on a brand new amp.
My 4210 is a split channel 50w from 1984 with Drake transformers.
It's basically a combo version of the 2205 without a presence control.
US version set up for 6550's, but I'm running some KT-88's in it now.
The DSL20HR didn't get much love after this arrived...

I've always wanted to hear one of those versions. I have used that fixed value of NFB, the "no Presence pot" of that model, in a few amps and I really dig it. That amp has several features that Marshall used that you typically find in a Jose amp.

I love it.
The boost has diode clipping like they incorporated into the 900's.
I've read that the 4210 is kinda a transition between the 800's and 900's.
Not really sure what circuit differences there might be with the 2205.

Running it through a 212 of G12T-75 and a 212 of G12 Vintage's sounds massive.
Stereo with my O50 into alnico's with an 800 pre-amp sim slamming the front is glorious...

I would like to hear it Fitz.

You know I have never recorded my ineptitude.
Stop by and I'll fire it up for ya', and you can try it out yourself.
Be warned - doing so may be detrimental to your current cash reserves.
Sounds good , I'll bring the chips. Lol
I don't know where you are but I would guess more than 1000 miles from PDX ?

Oh and no time like the present , apparently you haven't heard my recordings. Lol
