I've always wanted to hear one of those versions. I have used that fixed value of NFB, the "no Presence pot" of that model, in a few amps and I really dig it. That amp has several features that Marshall used that you typically find in a Jose amp.

Nope , your right. I definitely would not change the transformers.
I am pretty happy with DSL 40CR.
If ever get motivated I will build something plexi-ish. I have transformers and tons of of stuff.
