Triumph The Band!

Saw them in Regina, maybe 1985? Thunder 7 tour. Wore that shirt proudly 'til it was rags. Sight and sound spectacle. There is a documentary out on the band not sure where I saw it

Just watched the Documentary for the third time yesterday..They were a huge Band back then, and if Rik hadn't of quit the Band and went out on his own, who knows how far they would have gone. They had a very large following of course in Canada, but also U,S.A.

On Saturday, November 16, the band reformed consisting of drummer Gil Moore, guitarist Rik Emmett, and bassist Mike Levine — and played together publicly at an invite-only event to approx 300 “superfans” at MetalWorks studio in Mississauga (a suburb of Toronto), Ontario, Canada.

Metalworks Studios is a music recording studio in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1978 by Gil Moore of the Canadian rock group, Triumph.[1] Over a span of 40 years, Metalworks has been the recipient of Canadian Music Week's 'Studio of the Year' 17 times.[2] Since 1978, Metalworks Studios has expanded into a six studio facility offering in-house tracking, mixing and mastering, as well as video editing and DVD authoring.

In 2004, Metalworks Studios launched an adjacent educational facility; Metalworks Institute.

Metalworks Studios has won 17 'Studio of the Year' awards at Canadian Music Week from 1998 to 2015.[3][4]

Actually, after reading Rik's memoirs, they were already waning in record sales as the future was getting ahead of them and the record company, as always, screwed them over. They owed quite a lot of money for merch etc at that point. Tours were fading.
So I suspect it wouldn't have gone on much longer. At least solo Rik dould do whatever he wanted. Mental health and all.
