Announcing... RiffMasters!

OK here's my reggae version of...
Flying_High_Again.mp3
I've read that Jamaicans have an affinity for something that might take their minds into the sky.
The pilot tie-in seemed logical too.
Has a shuffle off-beat groove with some trippy delays.
I found an abused Muppet at Goodwill to sing the high part.
Thats super good. You even kept the solo in there. Awesome job!!
I just can’t seem to get the reggae feel. That’s really not my bag. But I still have a couple of weeks to figure it out.
This was inspirational though.

Barnacle Bob also very quiet today. Hope he's not done his "Garden State" reggae tune

"Fuhgeddaboudit"

Thanks so much! Reggae... not really my thing either, not much shredding found in that style.
The only song I've ever played live over the years (out of perhap 300 tunes) was Red Red Wine. Chicks seemed to like it though, esp. alcoholic ones.

I beg you... do my lyrics and go heavy on your Jerseye "lilt", Tony it up, it'll make de album... I wrote in a couple pre-choruses for ya

Its in the drums !!

follow them to the light or smoke or chinka chinka... really tho it is the drum beat that sets the hold back & timing for the chinka chink. You can do it !

i think where being a bass player more so really helps, cause ya are the driver with the drums..This is just a natural thing you learn do in music no matter what genre. Where you emphasize & dont play is def as important as what you do. Where drums & bass go..so does the song...

ok guys, this is as reggae as I get.
Here is how I recorded it.
Fender Showmaster on bridge pickup with some slapback
Fender Showmaster on Neck pickup with some reverb
all FX from HX Stomp
Bass Ibanez 605
drums lifted from internet
lyrics thanks to @TVvoodoo otherwise this project would never have been done.
Mixed in Reaper.
I think this is missing something to make it more reggae, but I just dont know what.
soooooooo .... for your entertainment, here is Jersey Reggae (Fuhgeddaboudit!)

tree point for da rastaman
Will revisit on headphones tomorrow OMG

Well done but I want to see video !

@LiveeviL2000 it took me two more tries to get through it without not lauging so hard.
I love it, because you stretch it out so much, then invite the audience to join you and your
friendly people to give each other the Jersey Bird and celebrate the Garden State.

You're a funny guy.

I mean no disrespect. OMG. I swear you should take your act to a stage somehow.
And really, the quality of the submission is top notch too. You bring a lot to this RiffMasters thing
Maybe out of your element, but you are frickin' fearless man, and YOU COMMIT.
