Show me Your Fuzz

A while back (many years ago) I was on the hunt for a fuzz pedal. I tried a pile of them, don't even remember all the ones I tried, but none of them were just what I was looking for. Then one day I found the BYOC (build your own clone) website and realized that most, if not all, the Big Muff clone kits they have were basically the same with just a few component changes. I thought that was cool and it would be easy to try the different versions if I wanted so I bought one of the kits. I bought the NYC Big Muff clone. These kits are supposed to include all the same components that the original version of the pedals were built with. IIRC think they came with original NOS parts.

So anyway, I built the pedal with low expectations and thinking it was just something to goof around with and try the different versions by swapping a few parts. Well, I never changed a thing, it's been "my" fuzz pedal since the day I first fired it up and I've never given it a second thought or wanted to try any other fuzz.
