Show me Your Fuzz

Same here!
Wampler also ... i've always been able to get great sounds out of their pedals.
That being said, at the moment i've got 3 different Dunlop Fuzz Face Minis out:
an FFM1 silicon, an FFM2 germanium, and an FFM3 'Jimi Hendrix'.
i'm generally more about overdrive than distortion or fuzz though.
I'm with ya. Overdrive is my preference as well. Lately I've been using a JHS Overdrive Preamp a lot. The circuit is based on an early DOD 250 and it's a pretty subtle sound to my ears. Sometimes I stack it into a J. Rocket Archer with each on low-to-mid gain settings. That said, it's nice to step on a fuzz here and there, lol.

But why am I getting volume drops when using fuzz. That's where I'm stuck. I'll be jamming along happy go lucky and all of the sudden the volume cuts in half. Seems this isn't a problem with the fuzz, this is a problem with the amp, no?
It's not at all uncommon for the volume to seem to drop when you step on a fuzz. I think it has something to do with gating and how frequencies can cancel each other out. Do you have anything left on tap with the volume control on the fuzz or are you already diming it?
