@Kerry Brown feel free to jump in and out anytime you feel like it, but we can def. take you off the Guitar Duel list. I know you will continue to watch and cheer the rest of us, (but mostly me) on.

So sorry to hear of your physical issue... we sure don't want to be a part of ruining your current guitar experience. Enjoy playing what you can, while you can... a lesson for all of us as the miles pile on.

I thought the punk test you posted was pretty fine! The guitar was sharp and on point. Too bad it was a little too short to be an entry. Maybe just give it a rest for a day or two?

@Kerry Brown if you can extend that test submission with edits, it's a solid 7 points for sure maybe more. Then you can rest up for a week or two..... If you want. offer open for the next 4 days.

No shame in a graceful bow-out.

@LiveeviL2000 ... can we somehow mark KerryB, BFT and SG J on the running chart as "duel exempt RiffMasters" ? Maybe a colour code maybe?

They will still be the lowest scores for the next round and will have one more chance to jump back in. I would say if they all miss TWO full rounds of non duel compliance (after round three) we can safely say they are no longer guitar duel worthy.

My assumption in that case would be they are no longer mainly guitarists but now favour other instruments such as the clarinet (Mitch), the pan flute (LRT) and the bassoon (Blinky).

They would make a bitchin' trio though, I'll bet.

Yesterday , I tried to think punk and hit record. I'm not sure yet if I will use it for the Punk rock duel , either way I will post later today after I sleep.

I like the chart. It's that @C-Grin "man on a mission" doggin' me worse than my wife is what's makin' me mad.
I know he's gonna pass me, he's obviously a superior talent, but if I can ram him into the guardrail somehow
while he does it, maybe I'll be able to fight back the tears.

Sorry to hear that sir. Take care. This competition is supposed to be fun and enjoyable….. not cause pain and have to miss work.

I think a bunch of us in this same age bracket are fighting some arthritis. In my case…… so far….. I think playing is helping rather than hurting. Keeping fingers flexible. But I also understand that can change in a heartbeat.
 
It just occurred to me looking at the scoreboard, that if @Thatbastarddon was to fire up his lava lamp, punk one out, then do both Folk'd Up challenges, he'd be top of the scoreboard even before a community vote.

This is kind of a dangerous situation. Hopefully wild cards @Jethro Rocker or @ibmorjamn can bring some serious Folk-ups to the vote poll or RiffBastarddon might have a chance to run away on us all. It's way to early for that to happen

I just know some strange and mysterious musical stews are now simmering in several crock pots. Have a good whiff of that.
Don't it kinda smell like a bakery right next to a hog farm?

The other side of it is if one of the dark horses in the current official Gat Duel can gain an extra seven points on top of the 14,
then all frickin' bets are off - the field busts wide open baby

@ibmorjamn ... you won't be involved in any duel vote... So whatever you submit, no matter how awesome, or un-awesome still worth a single point. The main money is between @Ku² my @jtcnj and @Kerry Brown (if he can get something across the finish line

I wasn't happy with the Clash piece. Yesterday I was working on Punk Rock Loser by The Viagra Boys. I may have enough that I can just add some vocals. I'll see what I can do tonight.
 
A little birdie told me that @Ku² has been hit with some sort of evil virus, probably planted on him by @jtcnj Still, he plans to power through with a sick punk submission.

I affirmed the deadline for him, because he's feeling real uncomfortable with the whole
"forum" format, says he can't follow, what with all the randomness and long thread stuff. It's not easy for some who aren't used to it, I guess.

But I sent him links and the challenges, and suddenly now he's now speaking in tongues
spouting crazy things about some sort of old chicken coop studio that got struck by lighting
one time while he was there, Some guy he knows used to sing in New York Dirt, consuming hydroponic kryptonite, and some recordist dude named "Crispy Chicken" (RIP).
I think maybe I caught him delirious in a fever dream or something

I can't make head nor tails out of any of any of it, but fasten your seat belts men I have a feeling things are about to get a bit turbulent.
