Yep….iPhone….heavy stuff to have dangling off a headstock. Worked great on the T-40…but it has its own gravitational field.

I always wanted to do that view in a video.
Found this one which looks like it will clamp on and adjust nicely.

That looks like a lighter duty version(a good thing…trust me) of the mess that I had laying around here. I had mine for shooting video around the studio, and for the mobile recording rig(to set the screen up in a convenient location wherever I wanted to track).

The entries have been spectacular.
Voting will be tough.
I don’t know if we will get multiple votes to toss around like in GOT or just 1. But I have mapped out a rough draft of a score card to help me make the decisions I need to make. Important factors like …
1) was it my entry
2) did I play it
3) was it my entry
etc…
As I said voting will be tough. I feel like I’ve been tossed into a battle royal ring with seasoned heavyweights and I wasn’t ready for what was to come.

The J. Robert Oppenheimer speech always gives me chills, more so now than ever.

Love the Godzilla and the lava lamp. Great creativity for the video concept and great song cover as well!
I like the shaking of the camera especially on the bass/ add to the explosion concept.

I have been trying to get something together and it is not going very well, but...... when is the cutoff date and time?

When it comes to talent and skill, and other things too, we are all on "the spectrum"
This is why I designed RiffMasters in such a way to try to level the playing field.
Higher levels of participation will be rewarded, opportunities added for lower
scores to earn boosts with the Guitar Duel system. Did I go far enough? Won't
be until maybe challenge 5 or 6 where we will see if I have compensated enough.

What @Thatbastarddon did cemented why he was the GOT champ. Expect he'll
force a painful wait on every challenge, and he definitely won't half-ass anything.
This is also why I noted early on musical skill / talent is important, but a thoughtful
presentation can really give any entry an extra edge.

@jtcnj Tomorrow night 7PM CST is the deadline for your "Opening Act" entry.
COUNTDOWN Don't enter at all, miss out on the automatic 5 points.

As we did with Game of Toanz, each voter will have multiple votes to drop.
As it stands today, I think eleven entries, so there will have to be two voting
threads, UNLESS any player wishes to OPT OUT of the voting list.
Then, you will just take FIVE points and look forward to the next challenge. PM me.

For voting, I will try to embed the media entries into the vote thread(s). So, if you have
your media in your host as "private" I won't be able to link to it. There are a couple I
saw that won't let me do that.

@4406Pack Not so fast bud! We still have 26 hours remaining for wannabe RiffMasters to
get they's poop together and get something in, anything that's 1:00 and one of the first three tunes
they learned. At this point, maybe it's best to just drop a quick and dirty laydown for 5 solid points.

@LRT @mcblink @Mitch Pearrow SJMP @jtcnj are our "Opening Act" dawdling laggards, let us all
hope no health or family issues are at play and it's just plain old stage fright or extreme couch lock.

Tomorrow night I will start a 48 hour vote thread, where all TTR members will get to cast lots for
their favorite Main Event submissions.

I also jazzed to see what will soon be revealed by the vote winner as the next Main Event RiffMasters Challenge,
plus who will be in the back of the pack, with the opportunity to challenge another player in an entertaining
but finger twisting round two Guitar Duel.

Gonna be fire boys

I will opt out, enjoyed playing something dif for a change. But 3 1/2 songs into a full Album recording & trying to assemble a band 1 more time !
Its been great to hear & see everybody making music !!
