Drinking a few beers and playing my ES-335. Spent part of the day at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston visiting Mum. They moved her there, as the local hospital didn't have a good ophthalmology department. Aside from her previous vision issues from dry eye syndrome and diabetes, they seem to think she's been hit with Sicca Syndrome from her latest round of chemo for a spot of cancer they found on her lung.

In other news, we've seemed be fortunate to find a good mix of food that goes well with George the cat's diabetes, and his glucose levels are starting to balance and he's starting to act normal again. He was on my lap earlier being his usual self, which is truly a relief.

It seems the days that it has not rained this summer, I've been at the emergency vet with George or taking care of mum. She is 85, and luckily a couple of my nephews have stepped up over the past couple of years to help out. In the meantime, my house looks abandoned because the weeds love all the rain we've had.
