JB's in my Epi and Super Distortions in my Ibanez. They were all great instruments.
The tea burst, and black one , never got a pickup swap, but the others got JB’s put in them
Ok now my illusions are shattered lol I would have never guessed in a million years that he used an Epiphone on that album, let alone one of the early days Epiphone Les Pauls ( which were spotty at best in those times). But hey, it worked and worked amazingly!Today I learned: the entire holy diver album was recorded with an Epiphone LP.

After watching the video, I’m not sure that an actual Epiphone was used…I think that the Epiphone model is a tribute to the Gibson that was actually used…with a Gibson serial number tapped into the headstock (under the Epi one).Ok now my illusions are shattered lol I would have never guessed in a million years that he used an Epiphone on that album, let alone one of the early days Epiphone Les Pauls ( which were spotty at best in those times). Aha! I guess I missed that but it would make way more sense. I did a quick check and yeah, there weren't even set neck traditional Les Pauls from Epiphone until about 1989/1990. In the mid 80s they had the LP-1, LP-2 and LP-3 but those were flat body, bolt necks with just the shape of the Les Paul. So bad entirely for flubbing this lolAfter watching the video, I’m not sure that an actual Epiphone was used…I think that the Epiphone model is a tribute to the Gibson that was actually used…with a Gibson serial number tapped into the headstock (under the Epi one).

I really like Vivian's work with Dio.Today I learned: the entire holy diver album was recorded with an Epiphone LP.
Correct, he states that at 2:10W
Wellll shoot. After watching that video over and over it has become clear to me that Viv actually bought a Gibson in wine red and THAT was his only guitar.... The maker of the video keeps putting the Epiphone into frame back and forth to make it look like that was the original.... (In order to sell the Epiphone model). I'm a fool, it was late.... Sorry for any confusion.
440, I like all of the color and appointment choices you have chosen.View attachment 94436
