Help les paul folks

My son has a Epiphone Prophecy. I really like it. It has EMG's, his choice.
I think the Sire is nice. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who owns one yet.
Epiphone has long been a popular alternative to the pricey Gibsons and today imports are very well made.
It's obvious Gibson new when they bought out Epiphone it was a good move.

I really like the looks of that L7. I watched quite a few videos on YouTube and it seems like people think it's a good guitar at a value price.

Ebony fretboard, bone nut, locking tuners...what's not to like?

I've had a lot of Epiphones and none were that special to me.

Today I learned: the entire holy diver album was recorded with an Epiphone LP.

Ok now my illusions are shattered lol I would have never guessed in a million years that he used an Epiphone on that album, let alone one of the early days Epiphone Les Pauls ( which were spotty at best in those times). But hey, it worked and worked amazingly!

The black also looks nice
I am comparing what is available this one has little to no flaws from pictures the white ones so far i can see things i do not like
I do like the serial # of this one the last 3 digits are 8’s
Kinda like the ol 8 ball on a pool table
The search continues but i would choose this black one so far over the others i have seen

After watching the video, I’m not sure that an actual Epiphone was used…I think that the Epiphone model is a tribute to the Gibson that was actually used…with a Gibson serial number tapped into the headstock (under the Epi one).

Aha! I guess I missed that but it would make way more sense. I did a quick check and yeah, there weren't even set neck traditional Les Pauls from Epiphone until about 1989/1990. In the mid 80s they had the LP-1, LP-2 and LP-3 but those were flat body, bolt necks with just the shape of the Les Paul. So bad entirely for flubbing this lol

Wellll shoot. After watching that video over and over it has become clear to me that Viv actually bought a Gibson in wine red and THAT was his only guitar.... The maker of the video keeps putting the Epiphone into frame back and forth to make it look like that was the original.... (In order to sell the Epiphone model). I'm a fool, it was late.... Sorry for any confusion.

440, I like all of the color and appointment choices you have chosen.
My studio is Black. I would love a custom.
