Johnny, how do you like that guitar. After watching a ton of video, I decided to buy one. Originally, it ticked a lot of boxes such as Gold Top Les Paul, Ebony board, P-90 Junior, old style headstock. I returned it after a week. It just felt unfinished to me, and really rough to play. I wanted to like it, but just couldn't.

Well it plays really well but it does feel a bit unfinished compared to a nice Gibson or such.only real flaw worth bitchin about is some of the binding is like they didnt scrape it enough or somethin. But the main bones of the guitar is a solid.I dint like the flimsy plastic and got rid of that. And i replaced the stock Epiphone compensated wrap around with a little better grade one .It fits mu hands really well.Real Grovers, real seymoure duncan.real pots and caps.built like a tank.

SG John i also got rid of the plastic input jack plate and bought a nice nickle plated on for a Gibson.View attachment 94444View attachment 94445
I especially didn't like they way the paint and binding were. I didn't feel like I should have to wet sand the guitar, then spray it with clear, wet sand again, then polish. A bunch of other things too. I wanted to be able to play it, not think about what needs to be done to make it better.

Yes i do iblive. My former landlords that own the RV park we lived in own a small diesel bulk terminal fueling place and theres a old cement slab i rent for the Bus.Its only a couple blocks from our apartment se works out well.now we use it for camping like its supposed to be.Winters are harsh here.No place to live in RVs but people do it.

So back on subject of a Les Paul. SG John to be honest and fair ive bought more than 1 Gibson Les Paul Studio, 3 matter of fact costing what 200 or 300$ more than my new Epi Lester Custom that were piss poor quality. The hardware was good but way worse fit and finish, bad neck angles, crappy paint jobs,uh scalloped feeling fretboards that are not scalloped. My new Epi JJN Lester Custom is miles above this crap. NOW this was in the 90s early 2000s but most low end Gibsons ive seen or had are crap. You ever seea Epi with a bad neck angle ? No.Ever here anyone complain about a bad neck angle on a Epi ? NO . Epis hardware for the most part is junk but whats that cost to replace 50$ .So basicaly tge Epi Custom is miles above most low cost Gibsons. If i could afford another guitar id buy the new Epi Alex Lifeson Les Paul. No 5 grand Les Pauls for me. Now i do think Gibsons probably puttin out some damn nice guitars now days but there just priced to high.Hell so are new Fenders far as that goes.Id never buy another low end Gibson or a expensive one.Ive personally have no need for one.My 2 cents.

Kept being drawn to this one guitar
Anyone superstitious ?
