I have only one case left that has the shroud and I have seriously thought about cutting it out of there. They are useless and only get in the way IMO.

They just get in the way. So glad Gibson stopped including them in the cases. I really should cut out the one older one I still have.

Well some say it is a
anticipation Blanket to increase the suspense like a kid on christmas everytime you open the case
Other say various things as protecting from humidity dust ect
Gets me wondering is all but if i was to the philosophy and my case didn’t have one and i wanted one i would have to go Zebra

The mid nineties case for one of my SGs, and then my Flying V have the shrouds. None of the others. The one in the V case is more like a fleece blanket, and almost big enough to keep you warm in the winter. No photo of the V case, as I'm back in the upper NH/VT valley for the week.
