The new 20w just out!

I think it's beautiful really. Price always seems to hurt being that high for a 20w but hey, the Studio models are that price these days, so what are you gonna do? Regardless, it's a tank of an amp and going back to the Ground Zero days of Marshall, so the purest form there is

I thought the same thing Mike, I don't know what value hand built in U.K. brings but the last couple of times they did that it cost more.

I suppose it's like anything: most folks could stomach paying more if they knew they got a better built product that was gonna last. But, with Marshall it's always which way the wind blows. Believe me, I'm the LAST guy to trash a Marshall and am so disgustingly biased it's borderline obscene lol but, even when it was totally a British built company before the overseas builds , you had some hits and misses in the quality control department. So hand builds now? Not sure, could go either way. You'd expect it's guaranteed to last but what is anymore really?

Love Marshall, but even in their heydays of yore Fenders build quality was generally better.

In fairness, I suppose that's true if we're being honest here. They seemed to have longer lifespans before failure than Marshall. But, there's also the factor of most people were pushing their Marshalls beyond the breaking point and diming them out nonstop too. With Fender, most weren't going for big gain but rather cleans with the exception of a few names like Nugent and Neil Young. Still, even dirty: Fenders had a great lifespan especially when you look at the abuse Nugent and Neil Young dished out to them every night

no harmonics looks great the first Marshall's used Radio Spairs transformers HI FI
Looking back on the 5F6A Fender Bassman used Triad transformers I was lucky to score a 1960 Fender Concert with the Triad transformers
and is 40 watts not 20 watts they must be running real low B+ voltage on the 5881 plates

It goes without saying ( to me anyway) Its not an exact clone. That would be the first worry, dreaded mud. I did hear a section that sounded overly bass infused but with out maybe biasing it and owning its hard to say.
I would like to see the board.

I am certainly no amp expert. However, most older Fenders and there transformers could handle impedance mis matches that would fry a Marshall.
 
So far I listened to the first 3 minutes.
Pete could make a Roland Cube sound good. But I like it. I don't think youtube sound is what you will hear in the room due to compression. I want to try one with a Boss DS-1 in front.
Not sure why because I will probably never own one.
Listening further, on the treble channel with Tele I can hear "The Faces " tone.

Normal channel with the treble boost sounds real good with the Tele.

That being said, nearly everything I have listened to since I began my music journey is Marshall. I did however own a Bassman early on and with a pedal they sound real good.

"At the core of Young’s amplifier setup is a piece of gear as essential to his sound as Old Black: the 1959 tweed Fender Deluxe he’s used since the late Sixties. A small, 15-watt unit, with just two volume knobs and a shared tone control, this amp, says Cragg, “makes all the sound. Onstage, as loud as everything gets, that’s what you hear. And it’s totally stock except for two 6L6’s in place of the original tubes. That boosts the output from 15 to 19 watts, and it kills.” An added consequence of this rebiasing is that the amp runs extremely hot; Cragg has high-powered fans trained on the back of the Deluxe to “keep it from blowing up."

That's awesome to actually find out lol all that ruckus from a lil old Fender Deluxe? Very cool!
