Wanted - late 60s to early 70s Goldtop.

I don't spose anyone has a late 60s to early 70s, maybe to 1974 goldtop they wanna sell? Some wearing is totally ok.
Not sure about P90s, never tried em. Or the mini HB.
Just checking.
Thanks.

Love that era of Deluxe. Great guitars.

If you are definitely serious, I know a guy that will procure you pretty much anything you are looking for:

(He's the dude that found me my '79 Silverburst)

Super expensive venture. Not worth.
Gotta disagree there. I do think they are "worth" the money because they have matriculated to the point where you won't lose any scratch even if you don't keep it that long, and if you do keep it the prices are only going in one direction.
I understand that, and as an investment, that's a different story, but my point was, for what you are going to pay for it, as a playable instrument, i don't think it would offer any benefit to your arsenal.

The one piece body 1969 I sold was mint compared to this listing I got $900 less but it was a trade deal repair two amps and $350
in parts 5 hours of my time

May be time to restore and sell my 1972 Les Paul Custom 1954 LE

No it would not be any better than what I currently have.
Perhaps strangely, I would like to have a Goldie that has some obvious signs of having the snot played out of it for 50 years. Not abused or wrecked but certainly played. I realize I only have one or 2 guitars that will ever show that, I bought so many new the last few years that at my age, they will be lucky to see 20 or 25 years.
For some reason I like the look of something that has been played well for decades (not fakely done tho) and Goldies seem to show it well. The checking and green bronze oxidation etc.

Wow yeah that is amazing! I won't go that whole hog and prefer something that looks used. I have a mint 1976 Wine Red now.

A good friend of mine has a ‘69 Deluxe Goldy with the minibuckers. Love that guitar! Plays great and sounds greater! I’ll ask him if he’s willing to part with it. He’ll probably laugh at me!

Unless you gotta have it! I’m guesstimating my buddy’s ‘69 Deluxe LP is a minimum $6,000????

If he loves it can't see why he would. Might be a very cool guitar tho... that's well within budget
