I didn't really like my S303 with the 6101 either. I sold em both but I think dude still has one. Still wondered if I should have kept one but not sure what I would use it with and HEAVY!!Cabs are 11" deep - plenty of room for a cast frame speaker.
I had some of those S303 Celestion Marshall Gold speakers with my 6101/6912 - didn't really like them. (made by EV based on the EVM-12L, I'm told)
Might be overkill for a 60w.
I have never heard the term man glitter for saw dust .. that’s greatGot a few more steps out of the way.
Sanded down the pegs and trimmed the corners so there's a little less work for the big 3/4" router bit.

Just that little 45 cut is about 1/2 the wood that the router removes, and reduces tear out of the plywood layers.

Here's a close up of the round overs after routing.
Still some hand sanding and filler - but probably done with the big tools.

Pic of the full stack with the logo plate mounted in the head shell.
Not exactly a Chippendale armoire, but good enough for tolex.

And a pic of the chassis in the head shell.

That's all for today.
I hosed off the man glitter, and it's time for a steak...

Nice work Fitz.Test fit everything while I'm waiting for the tolex and grill to get here:
Bought a right angle set of RCA cables to try to get the reverb tank vertical, but I just didn't make the head shell tall enough.
So, it's going horizontal...

Those darn chassis bolts with the combo flipped upside down are just about where I want the feet, so I used a Forstner bit to make a little notch in the feet.

Handles mounted and speaker jacks installed.

Put a T-75 in the top cab and a V-30 in the bottom.
Tried either and both together in comparison with the V-Types in the old 212.

The V-Types are better at getting clean volume on the normal channel.
They all still break up nicely with the clean channel cranked.
The combo of T-75/V-30 sounded best with the gain cranked on the OD channel.
Always a trade off...
I've used lamp cord / 2-conductor extension cord and crimp on spade connectors in a bunch of my junk cab builds, but I'm out of the connectors, so I just got two set of these with all the other parts & pieces in my T&M order.Nice work Fitz.
What wire are you using in your speaker cabs?

Why not put the chassis bolts right through the feet? That is, use the chassis bolts to hold the feet too.Test fit everything while I'm waiting for the tolex and grill to get here:

LOL, the thought crossed my mind...Why not put the chassis bolts right through the feet? That is, use the chassis bolts to hold the feet too.
