Sorry for your injury.

It’s going to be a couple of months.
Maybe I can get a slide and start playing like a lap guitar.

One Summer when I was younger I cut off the corner of my left thumb, along with about 1/4 of the fingernail.
Couldn't play for more than a month. That was, in fact, the Summer that I learned to play slide.

I think it's been deemed too hazardous and outlawed in 28 states. I just use eye protection and make sure there arent any children around when I pick it up.

Yup! We exist.
I have found I can change my pitch by turning the cold and hot water up or down. Colder=higher pitch, hotter=lower pitch. You can look at it like vocal tuners.

I sing bass, so no issue on the low notes. But those high ones…. Always found cinching the tidy-whiteys up a little bit helps.

I remember the cast on my hand/wrist became ripe with fragrant odor after having it for a while. Got pretty bad, I would try to clean it as best as I could with long cotton swabs and alcohol, but never could quite get the smell out lol

Oh, and the itchies too! Kept a chopstick or something similar handy, so I could get in there and scratch

Dammit - I skrew that up! Vocal, yes. Grrr.

Shower singing rules. So does motorcycle singing! I've never been off pitch on my motorcycle yet. It's like the shower when we find out we are the perfect singers after all.

Just have to run a recorder and play it back!

Week 3.
The pain in my wrist is mostly gone. Just feels really tight.
I can grip the neck of my guitar and play a little bit. But single note licks feel far off.

Maybe another 2 or 3 weeks.
