Looks like I won’t be playing for a while.
A couple of days ago I fell down like an idiot and hurt my left wrist I just figured it was a sprain. Last night I finally went to the hospital and ends up I fractured a bone in my wrist.

Now I get to look at my guitars for a little while.

Man that absolutely sucks....I'm so sorry to hear that. Any time table for getting back to normal in it? Hopefully they just had to splint you and not cast it

It’s a soft cast.
The part that sucks is I had a bicycling accident a couple years ago and hurt both hands pretty bad.

I just started to get some speed back in my fingers and picking hand. Now this.

At least this time it’s all my fault.
 
Feel your pain for sure. Back in the 70s when I was just learning guitar did a hairline fracture on my left hand. Pinky finger side. No cast. Just splinted the pinky. That healed. Was just get fingers limber again when I absolutely crushed the tip of the ring finger on the left hand. I was probably real close to doing an Iommi. That healed and the rest is history.

I agree. Do some slide. Record and post. Keep you in the game that way. Most important. Heal up.
 
Oof! Hopefully that doesn't take too long to heal up! Several years ago I had a "boxers's fracture" and had to have a cast for 8 weeks, couldn't play my guitar. Wasn't a whole lot of fun. It left my hand sorta looking like a club when I make a fist....there's no knuckle for my first finger anymore, and my finger is actually about 1/2" shorter than it used to be too. Crushed.
Bit of a story behind it, but I won't highjack your thread with it. I will post a pic of my club fist though!

I learned how to use a "slide" when I was a teenager by polishing a finger splint on my ring finger that got broken pretty good with aluminium wheel polish. Could only make augmented power chords with the index and pinky, plus I read once in a magazine that Angus Young did that. Hey, it works lmao
