Get a cheapie and hack it. You have the skills to bring it to the same drippiness and have $ 1,200 to spare.

Can't do it, the wife will kill me. It was a Christmas gift from her.
She's OK with my slated improvements but just wouldn't understand selling it.
But the Dragon 2's can be yours Ray!
Put em in an SE & rock till the cows come home.

Hack, are you sure they are dragon 2? The 1998's I looked up had stock dragon 1, which command a rather high price from the PRS fans.

Hmmmmm, now I wonder myself.
My 2000 Custom 22 had Dragon 2's for sure.
I'll pull one loose Ray, and take a looksee on the backplate.

Most definitely Dragon 2's.
I pulled em both. Why not they're coming out anyway.

Hackman i got to agree with RVA on this one.Thats a beautiful PRS and i dont like 3 pup guitars anyhow and i would not touch it. BUT i believe in ,Its your guitar so do as you see fit.I believe in that moto more. So have at it.I also have had guitars that just do not inspire me to play and a simple Pup change was like Whoa i cant put this geetar down.Your work is second to none so im not worried about you ruining it.Fire that router up
 
I might get brave and let you HACK on one of mine........I am thinking some things need FLOYDS......or Kahlers..........I could use a BASS witha Kahler..........maybe one of them USA MADE PEAVEY basses..................

ANd perhaps---- a FLOYD in the SG FUTURE TRIBUTE???????

The PRS pickups have been sold and removed already.
A trio of Lollars has been ordered.
I may have rocks in my head, but I just cant help myself. I love triple pickup guitars.
And this one will be over the top insane. Also one of a kind.

 
I cant wait to get down to Camp David and play that thing!

I did not gouge. That did not even qualify as a mod. I was fixing an error. Pickups should be placed in a pickup cavity. There was no cavity. Pups need to go up and down, just like cars need a steering wheel. It is a basic fact of life
