As many of you already know, I'm a whore for 3 pickup guitars.
I want a triple pickup PRS custom 22.
Multiple Google searches have turned up triple pickup single cuts with buckers.
And triple P90 Customs, but no triple bucker Customs.
I found this to be both disturbing and unjust.
No use trying to talk me down, I've already ordered a trio of Lollar standard wind buckers.
This beautiful mint 98' PRS Custom 22 is going under the knife, so to speak.
I'm gonna hack a whole lot of maple & mahogany out of the middle of this beast for a set of Lollars.
I've had it since new. Its a fabulous guitar but just too sterile sounding.
It virtually plays itself, but doesn't inspire me anymore.
So...... A trio of Lollar standard wind nickle cover humbuckers is incoming.
The 5 way rotary switch will be wired in conjunction with push pulls on the volume & tone pots to give me
neck, neck & middle, middle alone, middle & bridge, and bridge alone.
Along with series/parallel switching and in & out of phase switching on the bridge & neck pickups.
My only question for you, the good folks in The Tone Rooms, is what color pickup rings?
Stay with the cream? Or go with black.
