So Anyway...

First concert since the C-word.
Monday. Good time. Weather was good, traffic light (a little over 1hr drive), not crowded, parked close, good food on the boardwalk.
There were scattered T-storms forecast, which rolled in a little after we got home.

Band was tight, played great. Sound was good - at a room filling volume that was not too loud.

Only negative is Gordon's voice was just not up quite to the task. I dont know if it was tour fatigue, or if age / health related.
Still a really nice afternoon / evening out. At a bit shy of 60, we were among the youngest folks in there, as expected.

Also, the Auditorium steps up a little bit in the back section, but is not sloped like a regular theater, so the heads in front of you restrict the view somewhat. The pictures look farther away than actual, which I would guess at about 70-80ft. We could see in pretty good detail. I watched the bass player a lot.

The closer stage picture is phone camera zoom, so.... meh.

So Anyway, I picked up the M&P this morning and headed straight to the range. I am one happy camper! Shoots great and field strips in under 30 seconds...that is slide off and barrel removed. Goes back together just as fast!

Nice trigger pull. Could be a little shorter, but nice and smooth once I take up the little slack.
Now I have to my shooting skills back in order.

I ordered a Mantis X10 laser dry fire setup and I'm going to get a CoolFire CO2 blowback system to go with it. That way I can sit at work and practice my skills!

The Mantis has a device that mounts on the light rail and the CoolFire replaces the barrel with a CO2 blowback system for more of a real feel firing situation. Also keeps me from needing to constantly rack the slide.

Well I shook the toner cartridges and was able to get some prints. Printed a Starry Night headstock size water slide decal. Went to put it on the headstock and some of the ink cracked off (those jagged yellow lines). So this became a test decal for fitting. Just the right size, so now I’m gonna print another water slide decal and let it day for a day before I soak it flat and do no bends getting it on the headstock.
