More cuts, this time from birch plywood. Shown is the back, baffle, and a frame for the grill. The baffle is 1/2 inch larger than the back because I am thinking about making a 1/4 inch groove on the inside of the box to fit the baffle nice and snug, and help me practice with my new router. I am getting more confident with the table saw.

My fingers are crossed for you on the cloth working out for you. It looks pretty wild indeed.

Make sure you leave fit room around your baffle to account for the added width the grill fabric will add, if it flush mounts into the framing.
That does look like a dense type of fabric for a grill application. I have some concern about it coloring the tone of the speaker output sound waves through it.
But have at it; do-overs are acceptable if need be.

I think the both of you may be right. And while I thought of space for the cloth, I did not account for it. My skills do not allow me to be that precise. It may become a curtain!!!

I have been listening to a lot of early Black Sabbath lately. As I was greatly enjoying Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, where Ozzy says "You Bastards!", Thatbastarddon immediately came to mind. Now it does, every time.....
So, there's that.

I unfolded it and yelled through it. That worked out nicely.

I will look into the relative thickness of actual screen material.

I have a plan..not a great one, but a plan. I will place this in front of an amp tonight and see what happens. Hopefully nothing. Scientific, no. Fun, yes.
