Yeah. My first thought was Skynard….. but they kinda did the three guitar lead as well.I’ll play!
The Scorpions..........oh, wait, Iron Maiden! No. Maiden have 3 guitarists!
The Scorpions!:dood:
Personally, I’ve never liked the designation of “rhythm” or “lead” guitarist. I prefer to watch bands where these roles are shared among the guitarists. On one song, one guitar player may play “lead”. On another song, the other guitarist fulfills that role. I realize a lot comes down to what any particular guitarist wants to do; a guitar player may simply not want to play lead parts. I get that. But, I enjoy variety within the group.
I’ve read some of those interviews. Angus has said Malcom could do what he did with no problem…… and do it better. Angus has stated he could never do what Malcom could do.Angus has said that Malcolm could play all of his lead parts and even better than him and that Malcom came up with a lot of the solos.
From a 1994 interview - Angus mentioned that Malcolm came up with the riff for Back in Black and Angus said, "I still don't think I play it right compared to Mal."
