Wide, IMHO...not 1-3/4" like my Stratocaster or 1.695" like my two Les Paul's, but the actual spec is 1.6875" (42.86 mm)...

The USA models are a small percentage of the market.

The Indonesian models are more prevelant.

I noticed that the new Squires and "Classic Vibe" Stratocasters have roasted maple necks and improved hardware along with an impressive fit and finish.

The real 'standouts' are the recently introduced MIJ models...

All the Fender/Gretsch/Jackson Indonesian models are now being built by these chaps...

I wouldn't want to try and scream an older amp on a regular basis...

Thats why two guys i know are building me a custom, hand-wired 50 watt master volume (6550 x CV4004) with a Metro FX loop and Resonance control in place of the voltage selector.
