So Anyway...

Milo is the black adult lab mix. He is 10 and has some health issues.
Geriatric Laryngeal Paralysis - the muscles holding his airway open are slowly failing to do this.
It is neurological, has other associated symptoms, and progresses slowly.

Ella is the yellow lab adult. She is 7, very vibrant but showing some signs of getting older.

Thomas is the rescue pup. We drove a little over and hour each way with both our dogs for the the meet and greet.
He came with the name. It wasn't our first choice but is already responding to it, and it has grown on us.

He has had a problem with loose poops and was wormed again before we got him Saturday.
It was ok but soft, improved to normal, then by Monday afternoon is mush. He is active and alert, eating and drinking ok. His vet appt. is later today.
He is on the same food foster mom had him; he did chew on some twigs and such in the yard the first day or so.
I'm a little nervous about it.
I think Tommy is an awesome name for a dog. Save Thomas for when he’s being bad, or whatever. Maybe he’ll learn the difference.

So anyway, my wife and I celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary this weekend. No trip, no jewellery, no cards, flowers or fancy eatin'.

Being the practical lady she is, she wanted flooring. 1,500 square feet of it. I've been hauling, packing and stacking these heavyish boxes around for days now, shifting furniture, pulling trim. Thank goodness we found a reputable installer. I'm helping as much as I can, but he doesn't seem to want much from me.

I'm not so hot on the colour, it's like driftwood or barn board to me, a little nutty brown mixed in. Probably totally fash right now, but five years from now ...who knows? We're hoping it adds to the saleability of this joint more than for our personal wants

It's some sort of polymer stone stuff with a vinyl finish, and it's dropping down up what the installer believes is quite likely late 50's "schoolhouse" stuff which we are covering up asbestos we can, and keeping the dust to a minimum, if you get my drift.

Managed to call in some favours with a local building supplier I used to do a lot of advertising business with and who always asked for deals, he also enjoyed the service of both my very diligent hardworking teen kids for summer jobs over the years, so gladly saw fit to give us a decent discount.

I live in a smallish country church we have slowly converted into a home... so we have one large open room , the kitchen is raised where the altar was, master bedroom looks over it all up in the choir loft... entrance foyer, bathroom etc. Will include a new shower enclosure also, the old one is cracking up and falling apart.

Been ten years since we've done any kind of reno, and as much as I resist these things, it's the old HW/HL thing we trophy husbands have to endure from time to time.

Done that flooring gig many times... tile -- pergo--- vinyl .... always "fun" when your DONE! ;)

-- Cool deal on the converted Church--- Shannon and I have considered that -- (sadly you canget some good deals on small country ones these days :( )

BUt we really need more of a BARN with a livable loft .......

oh so anyway -- these cats USE ALL THE NOTES

So Anyway...the acoustic went back. Just don't enjoy playing it at all. I can't hold on to a $3500 guitar because it's pretty.

All my time and effort are going into the PRS...

I'm going to sell a few way below my cost here real soon. Joe Bonamassa EPI, Schecter Apocalypse PT and the Robert Korean Strat Legacy...

Any interested party may PM me prior to my listing the guitars. I will throw in cool extras like, straps, strings and such...

So anyway, I picked up a nail in my tire in a quite unusual fashion

Missed it by THAT much. :facepalm:That’s a flat waiting to happen. That sucks. I took the Vette in last month for an oil change and asked them to check the tires. Damn if there isn’t a small nail with a big head in the left rear. Only 6500 miles on it. F it. I’m driving it until something gives.

I gave it the soapy water check. It is ok for now. I will have to monitor for bulges. Hopefully there won't be a blow out. It is a rear tire, so a bit safer
