Awesome Gibson!!!
I use Amsoil and change my oil once a year on the Toyrota. Odometer quit working a couple of years ago at 160K. Fired right up at -9F this morning.I find using synthetic oil gives me more miles between changes......I prefer Rotella

Always Used it in my grandson’s dirt bikeThat AMS/OIL is great stuff!
I used to be a dealer back in the 80's.
I tried them once. I think they are good for certain styles. If you're a strummer or play in a softer approach, they seem fine. For heavier handed or faster stuff, they tend to not ring out as much and have a lil more muted sound. That's not a bad thing really i dont guess.Anyone use Flat Wound Strings?
Yeah, I switched over (or back, actually) to GHS. Except, I use a DYXL set because those sets have a wound third string. For my SG, though, I use Thomastik-Infeld Blues Sliders.
I do prefer the GHS over the D’Addario that I was using.
Update:
I just strung up my 2014 SG with the 10-46 GHS DYXL strings (with wound third). I really like the wound third on that guitar, too.
So, I guess that is now my string of choice for all my electrics.
I'm guessing you are playing mostly chords???
1-1/2 to 2 step bends will usually kill a .017" or .018" wound 'G'...
