Crazy!!! I wanted to post about this same thing...Biddlin always had some big (BIG!) words to shoot at ya too! I think I have a pretty
good vocabulary, but Biddlin had me at dictionary sites more than once, I have to
admit.

Crazy!!! I wanted to post about this same thing...
In fact, sometimes Biddlin and Don P (donpearce) would trade posts using their very developed "English Composition" skills. Good Lord, what a fricking headache trying to figure what they both were saying...![]()
That is a very nice memory. Some of you will recall I had an accident at work back in 2013, where I snapped virtually all the ligaments in my ankle.
It laid me up for a while with 3 reconstruction surgeries and a LOT of pain.
Biddlin posted a tune on YouTube to cheer me up…
We shared Christmas cards, jokes and general banter for many years.
He was my Brother, mentor and a great friend.
Yes, he could be crusty and argumentative, but beneath that he had a good heart.
I’ve passed on everyone’s thoughts to his family.
Thank you all for sharing your memories of John.

Playing gorilla basketball one time 40 plus years ago. Same story. Serious sprained ankle. I did go to doc and sprain was confirmed. Boy did my leg turn all sorts of pretty colors from my ankle to my knee.Alex, I am in a recovery mode from falling and tweaking my own ankle on 12/16/2021. It still hurts and swells some even today 11 days later. However, the pain is somewhat less and I hobble around. No major black and blue purple or green discoloring, or protruding bones. I did not go for xrays or see a doc. Pretty sure it is high ankle sprain ( bad stuff) no clue if ligaments or tendons etc got damaged. Just going to live with the slow healing.
In my line of business. If the mechanic screwed up the job on a tractor, the redo was on the store. Not the customer. Always thought the medical world should be held to the same standards.Unfortunately the first 2 surgeries were botched by an inexperienced surgeon. He specialises in hips, not ankles.
The 3rd surgery was done by a Professor of orthopaedics specialising in ankles, but the damage had already been done.
I'm not bitter about it, but it's frustrating as heck when I can't do all the things I used to due to pain and instability.
Thanks for your kind words bro.
That part sucks for sure. I’ve been extremely fortunate. Avoided any serious injuries. Got a couple fingers I flattened on my fretting hand. Mostly it doesn’t affect playing. About the same 40ish years ago, hyperextended my left knee. Not to the point of needing a doctor, but to this day that knee will tell me when the weathers changing. Compared to some of you guy. It’s nothing and you won’t catch me complaining.Fortunately it was on worker’s compensation, so monetarily it was free.
Pain wise though, it wasn’t!
