Wow! You guys ,ust not play real hard. Holy crap. I go through the 3 pointed Fender 346 Heavy picks quite often. Playing live helps eat em up, granted.
Still. Wow. Well done!
This is from like 10 years ago but bearin down pretty good on it. While I take care of my stuff, they will get little dings and certainly scratches.

Mainly a bedroom player. I did worship team for about 10 years and that was primarily my acoustic. And when I play electric, I do tend to play more clean than dirty. Not that I don’t que up the OD pedal and amp volume…. I do…. Just not as often.

I did have one favorite pick I’ve used on my acoustic for years. Used it so much the pointy end was nearly as rounded off as the fat end. But for some reason it worked really well on the acoustic.

Do you want we do something with acoustic? I want to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. ( For the record…. Still not interested in tele radios and Im not leaving thrash for good)

I kill 3 to 5 Fender Mediums on an average 2-4 hour set.
 
None of my guitars really show a lot of wear unless you look really close.

Probably because they all have bullet proof poly finishes, and I tend to keep them really clean.

This one is played-played-played... but still looks pretty good from a distance.

Real wear is is a badge of honor.
I take good care of my stuff, I dont like it if I ding or scratch something, but dont sweat it much.
Some of the guitars I bought used have some significant scrapes and/or dings chips - especially the beater bass I just got.
If it plays and sounds good, (or bones for a project) and the price is right - giddyup.

The real "poser" to me is relic'd gear. Fraud and fake and stupid.
Just my view; some folks like it; hey whatever butters yer biscuit.

I can understand distressed or antiqued home furnishing, etc. - for a particular look.

But trying to buy mojo or cool factor / street cred or whatever, by intentionally damaging guitars is just - bogus.

I think guitars made to look like a particular guitar, as a signature type thing is ok, as long as it is not a counterfeiting operation.
