Forum is slow and it crushed again.

Yes there was something happening but it may not be the forum itself.
It might be the internet...
but something is causing double posting and it's a mirror image backwards.
Today there was a blank white page instead of TRR, but after a while the forum came back.
It seems to be working OK now...
 
We have run into an issue with space on the server, actually we ran out of space on the server. Unfortunately it looks like we will no longer be able to host video files. Y'all can place links to you YouTube videos, no problem. Y'all can place links to SoundCloud, no problem. The problem is that the file size of the videos is eating up too much storage space. For example, Ramo you have a conversation message with a file attachments see below. Almost 1/2 gig of video attachments in a private conversation that was never viewed and another that was viewed 2 times.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I place the blame on myself for allowing members to upload videos to the server, my bad. We will be placing a notice to all members that they we will need to clear up some room on the server and you will need to find another way to host them.

How about links to you tube videos?
does that same problem happen?

FYI @Ramo , the links to the conversations can only be viewed by you and the other person of that conversation. Anyone else, including me will see this...

Thanks Ramo, it's not your fault, we gave all of you the ability to upload files and many members did. Live an learn. I've run a couple of smaller forums, but never one as popular and media intensive as TTR. It's a juggling act between providing features that y'all want and keeping the server reliable. Hard to keep the best of both worlds.

Already working on that Don, it's almost ready to go. It's the videos that have been uploaded to the server. You are actually the largest MP4 owners with almost 1/2 gb for one video.
Click on the link below and you can see where we are hosting Gigs of files. Soma hardly viewed, some never viewed but taking up lots of space.

Well it’s nice to be number one :dood: . Jeez, go ahead and delete that and any other mp4 I uploaded. I can always link them from YouTube.
