Singer Quit Band

My originals band Afterglow had a rather large blowout online chat last night and the singer quit. Ultimately a good thing for my stress level, she was very passive aggressive. I was ready to bail soon so much drama.
Will see. Likely do something with the remaining members, other gal can sing really well.
But for now just hanging. Will do some originals with my old Whiplash cover band., it opens more doors to play here.
I now notice less stress. To me, I would rather play with half assed hacks that are easy going than one diva crazybhead.
What it comes down to is that:
no 4 or 5 people ever really agree on the same thing.
They all have different reasons for being there.

Oh yeah thanks all. It's all good, really. I have 1 other band and an old one to start up again and another on and off project. Plus the remaining gal in the band I mentioned can really sing too and has stage presence. The leftovers will continue to do somethung when we find a drummer.
No shortage of playing out time here! I did find it to be a lot of mental time too. Can't take it too seriously.

Such good valid points mentioned. It should be fun, no divas, and you CANNOT get 5 people to agree most of the time. My other bands also are made up of friends, some I have known for 35 years, rather than strangers. That helps too.

Let me guess one sang the most she the one who quit?
Start a new band and start playing fight fire with fire all be good.

I want to know the gossip, so….. spill the beans mate :)
She always felt everyone was attacking her simply by disagreeing. She had no confidence in my ability to set sound for livestream without drums drowning vox even though it all ran through a mixer. 35 yrs experience at that but nope. Got offended easily, pouted, tried to call people out for stuff....
There was good too, we had fun and wrote some songs I am proud of. But overall? Soul poison.
There's a title for the next song. Soul Poison.

Name for next song? That's good enough for a name for a new BAND too. Excellent name. Less stress is important, Diva's be Diva's, no need for them unless they are truly a star and have good connections LOL. The current gal singer will probably be better, just don't let it get to her head, after all, you don't need another Diva! Good luck.

My own experience on both sides of the equation has shown me that as long as one person is capable of keeping everybody's egos in check effectively, starting with their own, even the diva-est diva can be brought to reason... or removed from the equation with as little side effects as possible. I know... easier said than done, right??
