Singer Quit Band

My originals band Afterglow had a rather large blowout online chat last night and the singer quit. Ultimately a good thing for my stress level, she was very passive aggressive. I was ready to bail soon so much drama.
Will see. Likely do something with the remaining members, other gal can sing really well.
But for now just hanging. Will do some originals with my old Whiplash cover band., it opens more doors to play here.
I now notice less stress. To me, I would rather play with half assed hacks that are easy going than one diva crazybhead.

Didn’t know if I should like your post or put on a sad face. It sucks but less stress is good. It is hard to get a band together where the personalities mesh. I’ll never be a rock star. I’ll never make enough money to cover my costs as a musician. If it’s not fun I’m out.

Yeah its a bit of each. Now that we have accomplished recording 4 songs, I feel I have done enough with that group. The whole time there has bee some drama. How much one puts up with?
Well, my limit was hit yesterday!

Well that sucks man, sorry to hear that. Nothing worse than starting over again and finding/replacing a key band mate. But Im sure there is someone out there waiting for the spot.

I now have a retired firefighter/PRCA bronc rider as a singer, who also plays drums on some songs.

We'd definitely win fights...

That’s the irony and the paradox of it. Very often, a diva, who may be tough to handle personally, also makes a really good front person. I realize that’s not always the case, but it does seem to be a fairly common thing.

I don't like the drama in bands either, but I'm happiest when I'm in a band, so it's a journey for me really.

I look at the band as a sport putting a team together. Have found the real gifted ones are insane. Let's not forget stage presence and image.
Do you want some gross fat pig inked up fronting the band ?? choose your band mates wisely.

Sorry to hear about your LS, Jethro but working in an environment that's as conflict and stress-free as possible is priceless for both mind and body health and productivity... Keep on Rockin'!
