Not without playing one first.
Nobody has one in stock to try...
...except you.
408??
Yeah, I've heard this comment before. I have a friend with a wife, and one day a long time ago, the discussion turned to my wall of guitars. My friends wife, snidely says: "But you can only play one at a time!"I can only play one at a time

408 over the 509. The old 513 model, which was the same thing with more switching options, was of very limited popularity, although I have never played one. The408 pickups are GLORIOUS, but the "no noise reduction when split" option also means that the split sound is very subtle. To be honest, you should hunt down some NF3 equipped PRS. The 408s are close to the NF3s, but I prefer the latter. Man, you need to come over!Under serious consideration:
PRS 408
PRS 509
EBMM Valentine (a tele with no hum)
EBMM Y2D (makes all the pickup combos I want with one 5 way switch)
Yes, see what they have in stock. If you go, please mention the forum.Music Zoo has the 2 EBMMs in stock.
The 2 PRSs will be tough to find though.
Those guys down the basement in Plainview
are PRS dealers. I'll give them a call.

I should add the the NF3 has one of the best necks of "satin finish" I have ever laid hands on - ever. It is treated with the V12 finish. Eve of the PRS I own, nothing comes close. My Tom Anderson Drop Top comes closer, but not close enough.Music Zoo has the 2 EBMMs in stock.
