The thing you cant do without.

I like combos too. Easier to haul around and while heavy, one trip does it. I often have limited room for hauling gear to shows so even a head and 2x12 can take too much room.
As an example, the TSL122 is an absolute killer combo rig with side handles to facilitate carrying.

My 2x12 lays down sideways in the trunk of my Mustang. It weighs only 24 pounds.

I fold the back seat down and can stack 3 guitars on the platform, plus my pedalboard atop those.

My bag of cables goes in passenger's front floor and I seat the the precious Ivanberg Modded ORI50 head in the front seat.

Even though I have an assortment of guitars, this is an easy one: My trusty Washburn D-20 S/N dreadnaught acoustic... First guitar I got when I moved to Canada. Bought it third hand used... Keep it by my side, play it any time of day or night without disturbing anyone, practice all my songs, thicker strings give my fingers a good workout (e.g: bends), polishes my skills (pinch harmonics, tapping, palm mutes, etc...).

I love it with all its blemishes, nicks, scars and scratches and in spite of it having divots the size of the grand canyon on the first few frets (which throw my tuning to :poo: when I press too hard on them). It still gives out a warm tone that I haven't found on any other.

Six String in Merica they call that WarshBurn....

Late to this game, as usual!

My “house on fire”, “desert island” guitar would have to be my Warmoth Les Paul build that I did at least 12 years ago now. I built it with some guidance and styling advice from my young sons (15 and 17 yrs Old now).
It has recently undergone some revisions with the addition of an Emerson Pro harness (550kohm pots and Emerson PIO 0.015u and 0.022u caps). Also now has Gibson Burstbucker Pros and Grover keystone tuners.

Gibsons are finished in nitro. But these original Silverbursts yellow much more than other colors for some reason. I've seen theories, mostly that its the paint they used, which apparently was some type of automotive finish, offgassing something under the clear nitro that is reacting with the finish in a different way. Always have wondered what the real skinny is though.
Maybe the silver flake itself or components of it are the ones interacting?
