What's your all-time favorite metal album?

He seems to play more rhythm than lead. Has he and Michael ever played together?
For the very first album , "Lonesome Crow" back in 1972, both Schenkers were in the band. Michael split shortly after to join UFO for the next 6 years roughly, until 1979 when he rejoined for Lovedrive following his departure from UFO. The album split duties with him and Matthias Jabbs but they ultimately for some reason or another, went with Michael and fired Matthias. That was short lived because Michael split yet again that same year in the midst of a tour and Matthias was immediately brought back in permanently.

Rudolf had always taken the Rhythm approach to the band since its original inception dating back to 1965 impressively enough. The band always used other lead guitarists and produced quite a few greats in Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth and Matthias Jabbs in succession

You are a wealth of information sir. Thanks!

Another cutting edge different sounding Metal if you ask me has to begin with the likes of White Zombie. Rob Zombie, ZOMBIES in general.

This is not metal. its rock :io:
Though by their own words they are a rock n roll band, in fairness, they WOULD be Hard Rock i suppose. But they are one of those bands i mentioned before, that walk the fine line of A/B and often metal guys will openly accept them. Motorhead was the same exact way with Lemmy saying " We Are Motorhead, We Play Rock N Roll' but then they carried a LOT of metal traits and sound. Thin Lizzy, UFO, Van Halen had this same situation going on as well.

Not metal in the traditional sense in fairness, but they have a lot of the checklist parts: loud, heavy guitars/drums/bass, a strong frontman vocalist, wrote about musical topics considered taboo and had the imagery.

AC/DC was for me personally, the direct pathway towards heavy metal and the blueprints to things much heavier and more extreme. They were my introduction into that sort of music i guess
