Post 1K...and Thank You.

My congrats @Far Rider on 1K milestone... just figured out apparently I'm not too far behind you. Save a stool for me in the lounge.

Lord knows what embarrassing title the lads will bestow upon me

Your heartfelt OP words rang very true to my ears... I've only encountered one other similarily community-minded guitar forum in my travels, and finding such places is like haystacking for needles.
Hey, yeah, you're getting close too, Mr. Ambassador of strappin' it on...lol
Better poast up, mister!

Um, do I have any say in this? maybe I'll just stop posting LOL I'd rather it be of "slingin' 'n swingin' , "slings for strings" or maybe just "Well-Hung Swagger"

anyway, this is Far's thread. It's all about him right now!
No worries man, I'm just teasin' a bit lol
Besides:
I picked my own and no one objected.
This is how it's supposed to work. No ambassadors are titled anything without their own final approval.

I picked my own and no one objected.
As @Yargnad mentioned your suggestion was good, and received a second, third, and fourth nomination…I made a judgement call. BUT, the fact remains….the newly named ambassador has final say, and must approve the name to accept it.
In your case, you suggested the moniker, and have not objected yet.

I honestly didn't know if I would ever reach this milestone. What became abundantly clear in my first few months of being a member here was how many true professionals (musicians, guitar and amp technicians, etc.) were members. I don't fall into any of those categories by any stretch of the imagination, and wondered many times what I had to contribute. I love building amps and working on guitars, but I'm not in the same galaxy as some of the pro's here. I also discovered something that is quite rare in online forums; people here actually have respect for each other. That is hugely important to me. I've belonged to other forums where pissing matches and one-upmanship were the norm. Such a waste of time. I don't see mods and admins constantly intervening and banning people because of bad behavior. That is so unbelievably refreshing.

So I would just like to thank everyone here from the owner to the guy who empties the wastebaskets and mops the floors for allowing me to take up bandwith. I think after all these years I've finally found an internet home.

Congrats and a Great Ambassador Moniker!

...and now I HAVE to Post it, because it's on my top 10 list of all time greats!

Ray wasn't sure he should let me in, so I know what you mean. :ROFLMAO:
