Oh man im so sorry, i hope all goes good for you!. Just be careful and protect yourself and anyone else you might be close around. That’s good news!
So, let me ask…how long did it take from exposure time to onset of symptoms?
I confess that I have a personal reason for asking. On Sunday I was exposed to a friend who tested positive yesterday. So, at this point, it has been 48 hours from my exposure.
For me? I noticed the first symptoms the next evening with a sinus headache. It kinda just stayed at that until the next evening and i began to feel body aches. So probably, 2-3 days which has been the norm lately with this new version, as it hits a lil faster than the first few. They would take anywhere from 3-7 days, this moves a lot quicker unfortunately
If you begin to suspect anything? You can either get a rapid test from your local pharmacy at home or nearby medical provider if you begin to feel any sort of symptoms. They'll work between 3-6 days pretty accurately if you show ANY of the symptoms. Or you can conversely take a PCR test in addition and it will give you a result within 36 hrs by the provider or county health.
I can tell you from my personal experience that some of the symptoms they listed as not probable initially are now actually showing to be new traits, such as irritated or watery eyes, ear pressure and post nasal drip. Originally, they said these were indicators of allergies or cold but now they're signs of this thing and it happened to me personally. It makes it really tough to distinguish a basic seasonal thing to something more serious.
Best of luck to you my friend, i certainly hope for nothing but the absolute best!
