So at a whim I traded some other stuff for this:

Apparently it's made in September of 2017:

It's pretty nice despite the Richlite (truth be told, I don't mind it at all). Needs a new set of strings though. I'm thinking maybe Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze... Thoughts?

As a predominantly Fender guy, having and storing a Les Paul makes me nervous, so this thing causes outright paranoia :D I won't be hanging it on the wall like the Ibanez AW it replaced. But I'd still like to keep it in the living room for easy access (and that's also the best controlled environment temperature/humidity wise).

Thing is, I only have space to store the case upright and with kids and animals running around, I'd like some way to prevent it from falling over too easily.

There are case racks but they're a bit costly for what they are. I could also build one, but I had an idea that would require less work: the metal "feet" on the case are magnetic, so what if I just screw a couple of neodynium magnets into the wall and maybe add some bottom support block, like so:

Can anyone see any downsides to this idea?

I prop mine in a corner of the room to stop it from falling over. If the guitar fits tightly in the case a fall probably wouldn’t be hurt.

Is the room humidified? You need to keep solid wood acoustics at the proper humidity. I use these in the case. One through the strings to humidify the body and another laying in the case under the headstock.

Good catch! Forgot to say it came with a Humitron:

We're at 52% RH at the moment so I didn't put it in yet. Once the heating season starts it'll drop way down though, so I'll start using it when it's around 45% I guess. Hopefully I'll remember... My wife got some Bluetooth datalogger tags (temp/humidity/acceleration, maybe something else) for free from her work that she's not using for anything, so maybe I could borrow one of those.

Yep, seems to work well enough (the initial spike is from me fumbling around with it and putting it in the case):
