Thanks. I really do want you to have a stellar guitar.It's a learning process and I think you're getting your Masters on this one!
That said, the potential of the neck are defined by the deficiencies in the neck. If I had to do it over again, I would do everything the same (except for the string tree, which is no big deal). I already sanded further than I thought possible when sanding the fret board. Any further may have completely compromised the neck and ended the project there. That would have been bad. At this point, I think I went far enough. If it was not, it is only now, with 20/20 hind sight, that it would be clear that we must risk destroying the neck by excessive fret board sanding to get where we need to be. Tonight will tell us the answer.
