The neck very much. The bridge is a tad bright for me, but that is personal taste. After all, I just put a neck pup in my bridge position on one guitar.Glad you're doing a shakedown! Do you like the PUP's?
There are back shots. And yes, they are much closerCan I see her backside too? I think the body color and neck color are way closer now!

While the FB was made to be flat, a portion of the 6-8 fretboard area on the treble side remained low. I did not want to go any lower because I truly thought that the fret slots were approaching the truss rod channel. This slight deformity carried over to the frets. If you look at the picture above, you can see a dab of black at the treble edge of those frets, even at that late stage of the second pass. During the first level, I stopped when I just touched the frets. This time I took it all the way. We shall see. As jjudas said, there is no escaping geometry. The R/wood fingerboard was made flat.
The new frets were leveled, crowned and polished.
Why revisit this step?
I am happy to hear you say that. I am very frustrated by the setback.Wow! That is looking good - going to be a real player too, not just a looker.
The first fret was left rather low. That said, I strung up both E strings and they produce proper F notes when fretted and each plays cleanly along the length, with bends. The frets are the judges. Once they have been touched, they have are level. I bit of residual ripple in the wood underneath is of no consequence.
I hope to have sand between my toes tonight! The adventure continues... Do we see land yet?

It is likely that the change in neck angle due to the .5 degree shim solved the string tension issue. I wish I would have thought of that before removing the string trees. The shim also made the action quite low and nice.
Tonight should be interesting.
Thanks again.
