I Called It Quits Today After 7 Years:

You work construction, right?

Thank you for the hard, back-breaking work you do…work that we all take for granted, yet which we absolutely need to go about our daily lives.
I personally thank you @smitty_p I am still doing what I can, but age is creeping up on me.
I couldn’t get any other job to make ends meet, but what I am still doing.
Thanks

You're a good guy, Mitch. It's not an easy job, but you are good at what you do and I've seen your photos and there's some Olde Worlde Craftsmanship in the things you build...Respect....

I get that Mitch. I’ve worked behind a parts counter since 1980. Not a body beating job…. More mind numbing. When the last recession finally hit me and I got laid off in 09…. Tried every which way but Sunday to find anything besides a parts counter. Long story short. I didn’t. Finally landed a job at a marina. Worked there till I retired last October. Like you said. Do what one has to to make ends meet. I was fortunate. My wife make decent bucks, so we didn’t have to rely totally on what I make.

Broke a string on my Yello Stratocaster last night and had to change strings this morning. They take a while to settle down, so my tuning wasn't really stable. At the middle of the set, I decided to switch to my Les Paul. When I plugged in, I got low volume and static, and the guitar worked perfectly a few hours before at my music a academy class. Had to switch back to YelloStrat.

Hmmmm....
