Thank you, you beautiful bastard!!!

Why is so dark your light bulb went out prior filming?
Sound good, it could be nice intro all nice and mellow then all hell breaks lose with carnage and mayhem.

I'm a n00b, remember, so I just render the tracks down to something YT will accept, upload, and poast. It's just always dark.

....but so is the jamroom....we've always tried to have the metal "atmosphere" around.....hence the empty beer piles we may or may not have seen....lol

I should add: I want my music to be dark...to me, dark is heavy...

@Thatbastarddon really got me headed right..very much thanks for those early tips !!

if you look at the pics in songs i post..the mic's are shown. Once found that.. so simple..but do have 2 pre's that suit the music...GAP73 & JoeMeek 6Q

2 mics..MXL DX2 & R144

i found out 99% of it all is the capture,,get it caught at right level..EQ's right from the door..have the music layer cake already figured out..the bonus is..yu can hardly tell the dif from recording to live
Hahahahaha! @BFT Gibson learned quickly, with me, to list the recording chains when he posted stuff...
I’m always curious...I’m gonna ask...it’s just easier to post...amp, mic(and position, roughly...preferably), preamp, and interface(if different from preamp)...not too hard, and helpful to other enthusiasts...new or not.
;) :)
What a dif it made once that basic formula was learned. Trust in the set up to do its job..then the focus is in the take..maybe the strike attack or or lighter touch. The gear actualy leaves your mind .. leaving clear vision to create

HorY SHIDTH, HORY SHIDTH,,,,,,,, SOme good playing there on that track.

Let me ask, OK who is playing what? I mean Drums, Bass, Chuggy guitar and Lead guitar?
I have to say, I liked a whole lot about the arrangement and the playing.

SO give me the low down.
Then the Low down on the Recording Program, equipment, etc that this Grail of a Manual is for,,,, as I read pages 2-4
Ok...we just used a drum track from YT, I converted it to an mp3 and then dumped it into Reaper. There's no bass. LRT and I both do the chuggy stuff and I usually do the lead stuff, but there's times we trade off the chuggy stuff and make the guitars intermingle. Like in this one, for example, the guitars almost argue with each other a little bit. We're using a Scarlett 18i8 interface and Reaper for a DAW

I run out of all chugy stuff, as I sit here writing this taking the break, maybe something will come.
