I finally found one. NOS ES-335

I was playing around with it some more today. I really like it. The fit and finish is truly amazing. And to think Gibson closed the Memphis factory. Such a sin.

The sustain is beautiful on this guitar. My wife asked to check it out, so I kept rolling up the volume of the DST Solera 50, and playing with the volume and tone knobs of the guitar. This truly can generate rich creamy feedback for days.

The ES models are my favorite Gibbos.

I think that they are my new favorites. Don't know why I waited so long to get one. They are incredibly comfortable for someone my size to play. SGs look like Ukuleles on me. I've playing this one some more tonight, and am bonding with it much quicker than any other guitar I've bought, after the purchase.

I missed out on one of those ES-347s like your uncle has a year ago. Would have liked to have tried that one.

Oh yeah it does. Perfect!! That is a killer! Looks like Burstbuckers. Mine has the MHS but they are unpotted and feedback a little too easily at higher gain settings.
Good on yoi!!

Jethro, these take a bit of coaxing, but they feedback really nicely. Maybe it was the combination of the amp I was using, but the feedback was real rich and very full. It was very mid to low-mid pronounced. There was no squealing or high pitched shrieking. I really enjoyed the overall sound of it. Can't wait to play this at louder volumes.

I have had other hollow bodies. When i use ch 2 mode C (basically JCM900) on tne 6101 at a gig, even quieter gig, it can squeal non musically. I love the feedback though, when air mives out of the f holes. Awesome. It's that un potted squealing at higher gain settings, which is me. I just have to watch it.

Tonight, I cleaned and oiled the fingerboard and then put a fresh set of Pyramid .010” - .046” strings on it. Did fun stuff like adjust the action and intonation too. Ended up having to flip the A string saddle to get it right.

Tomorrow, I’ll stretch the strings a bit more and double check everything. I’ll give it a good cleaning too.

There’s one thing that I did notice, and that is the fingerboard grain is very tight. It almost looks like Brazilian rosewood, but I doubt that it is. It does look nice next to a board that I know is Brazilian. Whatever it is, it is a real nice fingerboard.
