Building Mom a Les Paul Custom Replica

Different looking pickup and placement in Mom's vintage Epiphone...
Yes, but if you do a quick google images search you'll see Zephyr variants with various pickups & pickup placements. Notice that in my first post I said "Zephyr variant". Might not be, but there are several picks of similar guitars, not exact, but I just looked quickly. Cheers

Maybe have a look on Epiphone Wiki Robert. It would be nice to know for sure. I think pickup type & placement may not quite have been set in stone, so to speak back then. Cheers

I had a look at Century's on google images & like the Zephyr, there's again, several variants. I saw Zephyr's with the same headstock inlay as your mom's (couldn't upload them), but then there's Century's with similar. Also acoustic Century's. Let us know if you have any success in finding out what it is. Cheers

WOW.......just friggin WOW.
What history --- bet your Mom has some stories!!! ---

Don Albert was a big deal. Duke Ellington and Nat King Cole were frequent guests at The Keyhole Club...the first race-integrated club in Texas.

Mom also played some of the rougher cowboy bars where the stage was covered with chicken wire to protect the band from flying bottles.

She got her musical start in her Stepfather's band - Bob Crosby.

Seven days until we drive up and present this guitar to Mom....got to finish the hardware swap today.

Guitar sounds so good with the "Chiclet" tone caps that I may not even install the K40Y's I have here on hand...but I think I will solder in the 220k treble cuts just to take the edge off the bridge.
