Guess what?

Do you have a current limiter?
Many of the tests are done without any power turned on.
This does not need a current limiter.

The next tests are done with the high voltage turned OFF.

Yes
I am the one who wrote the first test procedure for DSL boards...because nobody else ever did it before.
Prior to that, there was no test procedures.
Only guessing, and random parts replacements.

Don't put the tubes in until it passes all the tests.
Or the tubes could be destroyed.
You need to clean all the carbon off the circuit board.
Test all the bias voltages put in the tubes last.

I warned you.

If you want to run through all the tests we can do that.
But do not put the tubes in until it passes all the tests first.
Why is this SO familiar?

I just popped on here out of curiosity. I wasn't gonna comment. I have no idea about half of what you're talking about. I'm in suspense though. It's like a cop show where they're beating the timer to disassemble a bomb. Amp Mad Scientist seems to be the brains of the operation. I did learn-

So intense!

AMS is the brains without a doubt. I trust him completely and will follow his instruction to the letter!

Anyone?
Im complete talking out of my ass with amp repairs but going from what i know on electrical components in general; precision resistors are just that and where they have a really low tolerance level, they risk damage easier than a carbon film or metal oxide because if voltage or amperage present at the resistor isnt just right, it blows it.

I only ask because I have a whole bunch of precision resistors handy, but I suppose I better replace it with the same type.
Guess I'm on hold until I can get some.
Thats what absolutely sucks. We have zero stores here that have components so i gotta order poop from Mouser or other places, pay shipping on parts that are cents on the dollar and then wait.
