This tremolo is rock solid and what difference it makes in your playing. It's just a totally different guitar with the nut reslotted.

Ok, so this morning, I fire up the tuner and check my tune after hanging on the waa since yesterday morning...still in perfect pitch.
Then, I do 15 tremolo dives, all the way to the pickguard - dropping 11 semitones - and it comes right back to pitch.
This is almost blissful.

Thus far, even though I have gold plated brass roller trees from Bitterroot Guitars, it does not seem like YelloStrat needs them.
Don't some Fender Stratocasters come without them???

I have a few extra winds on the g/b/e that give a little more tension on the nut...so far, so good anyways.

Strats without string tree
I see that PGS offer these custom Strats that are exclusive to PGS. I note that the tuners are designed to create straight string pull without the need for a string tree. From a basic engineering point of view this seems to make a lot of sense and I don't know why the idea isn't more widespread. ...

With or without string tree?
I just finished to build a Strat. I didn't install any string tree yet though. Headstock angle is regular, plain strings breaking angle is quite poor but the fact is that this guitar seems to play fine with no string tree at all and I don't see the point. Any thoughts?
