Did a test hand test paint rub today. the paint is thin on edges so not going to buff it. Also the test..after the rub..did the wax sink..good answer is No. I can preserve most. of the color & seal it. The flats on hood will need addressed, depending on which way i wheel it up & trim it..possible partial blackout on hood.

The fender flares..clear is peeled , they will be addressed after the rockers. It needs to dry out up here. way too cold to spray. bringing the band room into the house piece at a time, then will be able to paint.

got all the supplies to wire brush & treat underside. Will wire wheel & blast & shoot into every single spot & then do it again. Jeep rub1 rt ft.jpgJeep rub1 grill.jpgjeep rub1 rt quart.jpgjeep rub1 flare.jpgJeep rub1 left quart.jpg

Pimping out, quick grinded & blew rockers in with etching primer. Will cut & weld new in this summer, painted wheels, under carriage. Lots of over spray from previous owner when he painted the moldings. ,Reset ECU, pretty cool each day it gets quieter & runs smoother as the things adjust. Strong running jeep. Will pay for itself in a month or 2. 06 Focus up next. It's lettered up for my Company. Fired it up today for first time in 2 years. Instant start. Get these 2 100% spot on forwork. Kinda needed this, been house bound for so long. not me

1999 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 50 miles on the motor build, body not bad no rust, minor rocker repair to do, under is clean minimal rust if any, all original floor pans , no rust at seams,
Tracks very strait when you let go of the wheel & has that typical 4.0 torque. Soon as got it drove right of the road & into a field & sprayed the whole thing with dirt..lol tomorrow is the first day back on the road working since the Accident.View attachment 60124View attachment 60125

Well what you can do is disable the security system, because it runs the battery down.

Locate the security module, it's up behind the radio.
Start the car and let it run.
Un-plug the security module while the engine is running.
Now the security should be disabled.

The car should start and run normal without the usual excessive battery drain.

Being an auto locksmith.. have 3 serious scan tools..can reset ECU's flash em..

This being 1999 is last generation before the transponder chip...they key blank is a y159, the common Chrysler keyway ..still in use to this day. 2000 -04 is the y160 first gen chip & then 2004 up is y164 2nd gen

the fobik non blade generation after that is y170 & people dont realize there is a fobic y170 reg key that still goes in where the plastic fobic fit. so ya can have a reg key backup for the fobik's

I highly ..i mean highly recommend do NOT mess with the ECU & PCM's..battery cable unplug to reset..sure but outside of that.. leave it alone.

there should be no excessive drain on a factory security system if functioning as intended..now if an idiot ads an aftermarket & ties into a hot lead. the wrong way .thats on him..plus he just violated the factory security system..highly recommend ..no aftermarket alarms...why..loose your key once at 10 pm with ya family & it is hacked into with an aftermarket alarm..it will throw codes on some vehicles & not allow programming..until the system is taken out.. hence..i cant get your family back to NY from Hersheypark PA when i show up at 10 pm on a sat night

Nice Looking Den, red and black. Those were my high school colors, for the Woodlawn Warriors. The football game chant song line was:

Umph, Um Gawa, Black and Red power !

Got basic magnets on, public likes that & have up top light now.... at Wal-Mart turn lights on & they will start waving for ya!! Also helps with double parking in the city for a quick pull up & unlock & go.
